He began his practice in 1979 when recruited to conduct a series of highly-charged mediations between the SF Mayor’s Office, local building-trade unions, community-based job placement programs and a national retail chain of building suppliers endeavoring to situate a retail outlet in a mixed-use industrial/residential district.
In 1983, Mr. Jenkins assumed the position as Director of Recruitment and Training for American Intermediation Services where nationally recognized mediators, Anthony C. Piazza, Susan W. Haldeman and Arlen Gregorio began their practices as well.
Since then - until the present time - Jenkins' practice rapidly expanded to include all manner of multi-party litigated disputes including Partnership Dissolution, Medical Mal-practice, Wrongful Death, Multi-million dollar Pubic Works Projects in over 150 cities, forty-four states (from Hawaii to the Eastern Seaboard) and Mexico.

Jenkins provided a forty-hour Mediation Training course for thirty judges and senior counsel - hand selected by the Argentine Minister of Justice, Dr. León C. Arslanian, - to advance the introduction of commercial mediation into Latin America.
Between in 2001-13 Jenkins re-situated his practice to Mexico City and Guadalajara in order to facilitate greater access to building his Spanish language client base. Currently he splits his time between Mexico and the U.S.
